Cranberry is a 4-8 cm tall dwarf shrub with creeping thin branches and is not found directly on the beach, but often in the dune areas where there is more vegetation. The berries are usually dark red and may seem a little over-proportioned to the plant itself. Cranberry is a sought after berry for jam and is also used in dried form on lettuce etc.
