Flintstone is also called firestone. It is a hard stone that mainly consists of quartz with a glassy appearance. The stone is black, bluish and / or white, with white being lime. The flint has a smooth surface and can have sharp edges. Flint is a local Danish stone species, which comes from Stevns and Limfjorden. Flint originates from the Cretaceous era, where limestone and chalk cavities were formed from 50 to 120 million years ago. Petrified sea urchin is made up of flint, which is deposited inside an empty shell of a sea urchin that has been sitting in the lime.
