Polypody is a fern that grows in the dunes. It has typically 10-25 cm long, green comb-branched leaves. The slab of the rain is known to be sweet – and it is probably the origin of the Danish name (angel sweet) to be found here. An old sweet and slimy, slightly licorice-like juice of the root has been extracted in the past.

Did you know that:

Polypody is a medicinal plant where the juice from the root has been used to treat intestinal worms.
