Eryngium maritimum also called beach thistle. The plant is perennial and blooms with fine blue flowers. The plant is on the Danish red list of endangered plants and it is relatively rare in Denmark. It can be 25-60 cm high and grows on sandy shores. Insects love the plant’s flowers.
